Pablo Biolen terra at the Polish design exhibition.

We have received another invitation to the Polish design exhibition! 🖤This time, our Pablo BioLen Terra wallpaper is part of the "Idea > Brand > Form" exhibition prepared by Łódź Design Festival. It is a great pleasure for us to be part of the selection that talks about what is most interesting in contemporary Polish design. The exhibition takes place in the unique space of a historic boiler room on the premises of Fuzja in Łódź - a place that is a design manifesto in itself.

The exhibition presents objects of contemporary Polish design that are already functioning on the market or are at the stage of implementation. The exhibition does not spin a tale about the design process, but shows its result: things that carry certain values, form and communication. In many cases, it is also the beginning or continuation of brand building – recognizable, consistent, rooted locally, but operating in a broader context.
Over the last dozen years or so, Łódź Design Festival has been trying to take up the subject of analyzing the Polish market of the krestive industry, which has made it possible to grasp certain common characteristics of Polish design. We observe repeated material strategies, approaches to functionality, references to tradition, but also sensitivity to changing conditions – social, environmental, economic. From these observations emerges the image of a Polish design brand: conscious, flexible, responsible.   The presented products are concrete design responses to contemporary needs. They combine craftsmanship with technology, local with global, utility with aesthetics. The exhibition does not classify, but juxtaposes – showing that despite the diversity, there are points of commonality: the approach to the material, the visual narrative, the way of presence in the market.   It is a proposal to look at design not only through the prism of individual objects, but as part of a broader process of building identity – both for brands and for contemporary Polish design as a whole.
